The deceased, Efren Cornejo died on the spot after he was attacked with an axe by the suspect identified as Jhomel Marasigan. Cornejo was set to return to Dubai next week, according to a GMA News Online report. The incident took place in Candelaria, province of Quezon, after Cornejo intervened in a spat between his son and Marasigan, and tried to pacify them both.
