This is in line with a MoU signed by the two governments. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation announced that UAE passport holders can travel to the Kingdom of Tonga without a pre-entry visa. Starting from May 24, travelers to the Polynesian Kingdom can stay for up to 60 days per visit. Ambassador Ahmed Ilham Al Dhahiri, Assistant Undersecretary for Consular Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, said UAE citizens carrying diplomatic, private, VIP and regular passports are eligible. A man, who had been deported from the UAE and sneaked illegally back, has been sentenced to six months in jail for producing his brother's ID to a police officer. The 31-year-old Pakistani driver had been banned from entering the UAE but somehow managed to infiltrate through Oman illegally. He tried to evade arrest when stopped by a police lieutenant by showing his brother's Emirates ID. He was found guilty by the Court of First Instance of using another person's authentic personal document and impersonation of another person during a police interrogation. The Federal National Council (FNC) announced on Tuesday that the UAE has approved an anti-begging Federal Law which aims to completely obliterate beggary in the country. With the newly approved law, anyone who will be caught begging will be penalized with three months in jail and a Dh5,000 fine, reported Khaleej Times. Likewise, those who will be found guilty of operating gangs of beggars will face prison time of not less than six months and a minimum fine of Dh100,000.
